Students conduct a Japanese expo in class. They come up with a product featuring a universal design that is useful, helpful and inclusive, benefiting all of us in building a sustainable future.
Step 1: Students think about products around them that help everyone, and promote equality of life. Students then discuss what other things could be helpful.
Eg.
Step 2: Students draw a picture of their design and write an explanation using diagrams.
Step 3: Students then present the design to their class including the following points,
① Reasons for creating the product.
② A description of looks and overall design. What factors should be considered?
Colours are…. Size are….
③ Specific characteristics/functions of the design.
Eg. It opens/closes automatically.
