Students form groups of 3 or 4 and spread out the famous places picture cards. As the teacher reads out one of the description cards, the students grab the matching picture card. The teacher asks students どこですか, and the students who grabbed the card say the name of the place.

Kanji recognition
Kanji for famous places can be introduced to students for recognition. The kanji cards for these places are provided below. Teachers may ask students to locate the places written on these kanji cards on the map. Students can play match-up games, such as Snap and Concentration, using these kanji cards and picture cards.
